Even from a very young age, Chris has had a strong love for dogs, as well as the outdoors. He received his Eagle Scout award at the age of fifteen. He then went through the Franklin Police Explorers program, then wanting to become a K9 Officer or Park Ranger.
That same year most of the funding for national parks was withheld and there were no new jobs, so he decided to become an Arborist and still work in the outdoors with a new office everyday and still maintain nature and help people and possibly save lives.
After becoming an Arborist and performing tree work for well over a decade, owning a small tree care company and dealing with all different types of employees and the hardships employers have to face first hand, a climbing injury then dictated that he start a different path in life. He always had a strong passion for dogs and helping others, so he joined the Sheriff's Department wanting to work canines for them. After a very brief employment with Williamson County due to certain differences, he went to study at the Animal Behavior College to advance his learning and his passion for dogs and to be able to help other people. He felt like it was the most logical and natural progression to continue his path of helping others and animals. He strives to stay on the cutting edge with the most up to date training methods and techniques. He is a well-balanced trainer.
"We strive to always stay on the cutting edge with the most up-to-date training methods and techniques. If you stop learning, then you stop growing, becoming stagnant. I do not plan on ever retiring because I already do what I love. These dogs aren't my job, they're my life. My true passion in life is to be able to properly help people and help dogs save lives.
I learned from a valuable mentor, Randy Hare to put the dog before the dollar."
